Specialized Equipment

Using specialized Personal Protection Equipment and having Blood Born Pathogens training, TMC Restoration is equipped to handle even the worst case scenario situations. There are certain regulations regarding trauma scene clean up established by OSHA , the EPA and the CDC. We are very familiar with these regulations set by the federal government and here at TMC Restoration we have all the proper certifications and training to conduct trauma clean up services.

Drug Particle Removal

In our country’s current condition, there are more Meth Labs inside of people’s homes than neighbors may know about. When “cooking” Meth, it can easily turn into a disaster situation where a whole house can be disintegrated and the neighbors could have drug particles floating around in their own homes due to the explosion. Removing those particles should be done with specialized equipment that TMC Restoration keeps on hand at all times. Usually, when a home-made meth lab explodes, what is left of the home needs to be properly handled following current regulations closely and this to, TMC Restoration is Certified to handle.

Hoarding Clean-Out

Do you or do you know someone who is a hoarder? Typically when an extreme hoard is cleaned/packed out, not only could the contents being removed be a biohazard issue due to insect or vermin infestations, what is left of the actual structure will most likely need professional cleaning done in proper PPE as well. Any materials taken out of a home deemed a bio-hazard must be properly disposed of. TMC Restoration offers full hoarding pack outs, content cleaning when necessary and proper removal of any bio-hazard material.

Sewage Cleanup

Sewage is also considered a bio-hazard material due to the dangerous bacteria in the water. Events such as sewage back ups, like recently used, feces clogged toilets overflowing or a septic system backing up into a basement need to be handled properly with the correct equipment such as but not limited to respirators, gloves and full bio-hazard suits. Once sewage is properly removed and disposed of, the affected area must be mitigated per regulations and disinfected before anyone without proper equipment can enter. This will mean that if any sewage came into contact with removable flooring or walls such as carpet, hardwoods, sheetrock or bottoms of doors, all affected material must be disposed of without contaminating other areas within the home or business. Once the air has been scrubbed of any contaminates, flood cuts have been made, all flooring removed, only then can reconstruction begin.

It is extremely important to understand why it is so dangerous to remove bio-hazard material yourself. Without proper equipment, anyone within an affected area can and most likely will come into contact with bacteria, fungi, parasites, and viruses that can cause intestinal, lung, and other infections. Bacteria may cause diarrhea, fever, cramps, and sometimes vomiting, headache, weakness, or loss of appetite. Some bacteria and diseases carried by sewage and wastewater are E. coli, shigellosis, typhoid fever, salmonella, and cholera.

Rodents & Waste

Whether you find small rodents cute or repulsive, their waste is dangerous to humans either way. Rats and mice can potentially carry Hantavirus, which causes a deadly disease called Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS). If your rodents have this virus, it’s easy for you to get it by breathing in the air when rat droppings and urine are stirred up. Also, simply touching droppings and urine exposes one to the virus. Flu like symptoms from hantavirus can quickly evolve into urgent, life-threatening hospitalization. Due to the presence of such harmful airborne pathogens, the task of cleaning up can be especially dangerous.
